The View at Mt. Adams is a wedding venue that Funky’s Catering Events opened up in place of the Celestial restaurant overlooking Cincinnati and the Ohio River. The space boasts a clean white interior, stunning chandelier and epic views from its floor to ceiling windows.

Designing in this space was unique. We wanted to appeal to the typical wedding couples who book there because of its modern and clean vibe but we wanted to show everyone that just because it’s a simple space does not mean you have to do simple decor.

We decorated the far end of the venue with a ceremony set up where lush white florals and candles lined the aisle that led to an incredible geometric arch adorned in gorgeous blooms. We set up a fabulous lounge area in front of the fireplace that brought in our color of BLUE to really pop against the white.

Our reception space focused a 16 person king’s table down the center with a 5 tier cake as the “icing” on the design for the room. The table had a gold textured linen that matched the backdrop of the dessert table and 5 tall modern candelabras with taper candles down the center. In between those and all the way down the center were 40 vases full of white hydrangea, tulips and roses. The gold and white place settings had just the sweetest touch of blue brought through in the menus.

Lastly, we surrounded our center table with 6 guest tables draped in Pacific blue velvet. All the added touches of blue from menus to favor boxes to furniture really pushed the design colors just a tiny bit away from being simply gold and white. We loved seeing this come together in one of our favorite Cincinnati wedding venues.
